MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. — The Pocomoke High School Girls Cross Country Team took second place at its meet at Mardela Middle and High School on Monday, October 17th. Warriors’ senior Salwa Elhag led the girls’ team with a time of 24:04 and a fourth place overall finish. She was closely followed by teammate Cedara Franklin 24:12.
On the boys’ team, top finishers included junior Khalyl Law (20:56) and freshman Deyton Dean (21:31).
In the team standings, the boys and girls finished in third place behind 2nd place Delmar (DE) and 1st place Cambridge-South Dorchester, respectively.
